Svetlana Surganova and Elena Yakovleva supported talented youth from Russia's nuclear cities.

The musical album "U-235. Songs of Atomic Towns" was created as part of the "Rosatom School" project for the 80th anniversary of the domestic nuclear industry. The tracks were written and performed by talented young authors from the nine atom towns with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives as part of a selection of musical content for children and youth.

"U-235. Songs of Atomic Towns" is a musical "diary" of a generation raised in "atomic" towns. Ten authors aged 10 to 29 shared sincere stories about the eternal: homeland, love, friendship, and family. Their work reveals to the country the unique culture of the atom towns through the voices of those who know it from the inside. It not only unites young authors but also helps develop their creative potential, shapes an active civic stance, creates a space for dialogue between towns and regions, and contributes to the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the atom towns.

The recording of the 14-track musical album, which is already available on major streaming platforms, involved the participation of the lead singer of the band "Surganova and Orchestra," Svetlana Surganova, and People's Artist of Russia Elena Yakovleva. Svetlana recorded two tracks with the young talents: "And It's Cold Again" by Anna Tokarenko and "Tickets" by Pavel Sklyuev. Elena Alekseevna supported the patriotic song by Maxim Ibragimov, "Where the War Is," and played a role in his music video.

"It is wonderful that this project gives children and youth from the atom towns such unique opportunities for growth and development," emphasized Svetlana Surganova. "The participants of the musical album 'U-235. Songs of Atomic Towns' are future stars! They have created real hits that will soon be heard across the country. It is a great pleasure for me to be part of this process." Anna Tokarenko from Udomlya shared her impressions of working with the well-known artist: "It was simply great! Svetlana talked about how to behave on camera during the shoots. It was very interesting with her. It was an unforgettable experience."

Elena Yakovleva admitted that she immediately responded to the invitation to take part in Maxim Ibragimov's video: "It is a great honor for me to support young authors and such important and sincere songs. When I heard 'Where the War Is,' I immediately felt a deep response in my soul. I am convinced that this project will reveal new names to the country." Maxim Ibragimov from Volgodonsk added: "I believe that my songs inspire our valiant soldiers. In them they feel love and support. Meeting and shooting the video together with the wonderful actress Elena Yakovleva stirred strong emotions in me. I am sure that her poignant voice at the beginning of the track will touch the souls of millions of people."

The talented youth were also supported by professional sound engineers and vocal coaches. The young artists were invited to Moscow to record the songs and shoot the videos. A large team worked on creating the album for several months.

All participants of the album "U-235. Songs of Atomic Towns" are winners of a special selection of musical audio-visual content for children and youth by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and laureates of the author music and poetry festival "U-235. New Songs," which has been held for 12 years. They received the opportunity to promote their work on the most famous Russian music platforms and video hosting sites.
