A healthy outlook
Ophthalmologist, author and patent holder of the innovative method "Non-surgical Vision Restoration: Quantum Therapy," Natalia Alexeevna Ivanovskaya spoke about how to preserve and restore vision using the latest advances in medicine.
—Why is preserving vision so important?
The eyes are the most important sense organ. More than 90% of the information we receive from the surrounding world comes through our vision. And, statistically, a person is more afraid of going blind than of dying. At present, one or another vision problem exists in almost every person. Newborns can have retinopathy of prematurity or lack of binocular vision (amblyopia, strabismus). Starting from school age, everyone has an accommodative spasm to some degree.
—What is the main cause?
The fact is that the human eye is built like a predator’s eye; physiologically our vision is meant to look into the distance. Looking into the distance and up close is achieved because the lens is suspended on the ciliary muscle, which acts as the eye’s framework. The ciliary muscle contracts and relaxes and adjusts the eye’s focus in a manner analogous to focusing binoculars. We look with both eyes simultaneously—this is called binocular vision. For an image to be sharp, it must pass through the center of the eye’s optical media: the cornea, lens, vitreous body, and land on the central part of the retina—the macula. From the macula, via the optic nerves, which are called the visual tracts, the image reaches the visual cortex located in the occipital lobe of the brain. In the end, we see with our brain.
Huge near visual loads present in everyone’s life (phones, tablets, laptops) provoke a spasm of the ciliary muscle, which leads to accommodative spasm, meaning breakdowns occur in the eyes, each person in their own way.
—How can one preserve vision?
According to SanPiN standards, the total near visual load (phones, tablets, laptops) for children under 14 should be no more than 40 minutes per day. For adults, maximum near visual load should not exceed six hours per day. Exceeding this physiological norm by 100% leads to accommodative spasm. Since the body is an integrated whole and the eyes are supplied by terminal blood vessels, the eyes are the first to suffer from all pathological changes that affect our organism. Frequent stress, anxiety, and lack of sleep also negatively affect our vision. Any eye pathology must be treated at an early stage of its development, not in its full-blown pathological form.
—Which treatments are most effective today?
Everyone is familiar only with stereotypes imposed by prolonged, aggressive advertising: glasses, contact lenses, laser correction, which a priori are not treatments for eye pathologies. When vision decreases, the cause of the eye disease must first be determined and a comprehensive, pathogenetic treatment prescribed. As a clinician, I deal precisely with treating eye pathologies, restoring vision non-surgically, comprehensively and pathogenetically, applying my original, innovative, patented method—quantum therapy.
—What is the principle of your method?
Let’s start with the term quantum—from the Latin "quantum," an indivisible part of some quantity in physics, a general name for certain portions of energy. A quantum is the smallest dose of energy. In medicine there is a field called physiotherapy, a branch that studies the effects of therapeutic physical factors on the body and uses them for preventive and rehabilitative purposes. My method uses a portioned delivery of energy—the quantum—directly into the cells. In every cell of the human body there is an energy station—the mitochondrion. Each cell of the human body has its own energy potential. It is no coincidence that the notion of a person’s "energy" exists in everyday speech. In any pathology the cellular energy charge changes, so restoring the full functioning of an organ’s cell is possible by restoring its energy potential. My method restores eye tissues at the cellular level and activates the body’s reserves, which are enormous in every person.
—What pathologies can be treated with your method?
My method helps treat all eye pathologies: injuries of the cornea, lens, vitreous body, retina, optic nerve; vascular pathologies; uveitis; iridocyclitis; accommodative disorders: accommodative spasm, acquired myopia, strabismus, amblyopia, any binocular vision disorders; post-traumatic eye conditions (ocular contusions, conditions after TBI); ocular demodicosis. All except oncological diseases and true (closed-angle) glaucoma, which require surgical treatment.
—What are the advantages of the method?
The advantage of my method over standard surgical treatment is enormous: no pain, stress, or fear; no age restrictions; regeneration (restoration) of vision occurs systemically at the cellular level. All functional properties of vision are restored: binocular function, stereopsis, clarity, brightness. My patients stop wearing glasses and contact lenses without surgery even with −5 diopters and higher. Since we see with our brain, people’s vision, thoughts, and whole lives change for the better. Let us look at the world together with our healthy, bright, happy eyes, without glasses, contact lenses, and mutilating surgical manipulations.
