      Now that Labor Day has passed, I'm ready to set aside some of my summer essentials for the time being. The only challenge is that it still feels somewhat like summer outdoors. So while I've mentally transitioned to fall, it’s a bit premature to pull out the sweaters and suede boots. That’s where Alexa Chung comes in with the ideal outfit solution for the moment, blending elements of summer with those of fall.

      Chung is currently attending the Venice Film Festival in Italy, and for this event, she wore a white Prada minidress crafted from lightweight poplin. If she had chosen sandals to pair with the dress, it would have looked very summery; however, by selecting a more substantial shoe trend, her outfit appeared less suited for peak summer and more fitting for September. The trend she opted for was patent leather block heels, a favorite among the European It-girl community of which Chung is a part.
