      When it comes to seasonal makeup trends, I must admit that I have a particular fondness for autumn. I'm especially drawn to the darker color schemes (brown, terracotta, plum, and deep reds) that take the place of pastels—I'm a fan of an autumn lip. My blushers and eyeshadows also undergo a transformation, featuring deeper hues and richer textures. Just as my trench coat and leather jacket make a comeback, my makeup adapts, complementing my wardrobe seamlessly.

      Martyna Parzniewska, a regional makeup artist at Armani Beauty, notes, "This season feels fresh with new textures and techniques: blurred, velvet lips instead of sharp lines, glossy lids in darker shades, and monochromatic looks using a single color family across the eyes, cheeks, and lips." She goes on to say, "There’s an emerging trend of using softer, muted tones (like taupes and mauves) as an alternative to the classic fiery autumn colors, offering a more modern and wearable take." NARS field trainer Eliana Cavallo adds, "It's definitely the TikTok era of blending aesthetics—a bit of 'clean girl', a touch of 'mob wife', layered together until it feels fresh again."

      What Are This Year’s Most Significant Autumn Makeup Trends? Jamie Coombes, Dior Makeup International Pro Artist, shares, "The smoky eye is a staple for autumn, but this year, we're leaning towards a softer smudged liner and tight-lining that harkens back to the '90s grunge." He adds, "In the colder months, bronzer remains a top choice for adding warmth. Whether in cream or powder form, it gives a healthy glow to the skin. Bronzers like Dior Forever Nude Bronze can be layered with blush for a dual-color effect." Coombes also mentions that this year, "complexions will be more blurred, achieving a satin, soft-focus finish rather than strictly matte or dewy skin."

      "We’ll also see a rise in natural cool tones for the eyes, contrasting against the warmer traditional browns, with eyeliner taking on shades of deep red and burgundy," he concludes.
