Gen Z Says is a bimonthly column highlighting the latest trends in fashion and beauty from the perspective of Who What Wear's Gen Z editors. Readers can anticipate insights on emerging tastemakers, designers, and shopping and style choices from the generation influencing current trends. Whether I’m contemplating purchasing items for myself or hoping to unwrap them as holiday gifts, I love to devote my free time to screenshotting and saving trending (and sometimes niche) beauty products that appear on my FYP, Explore Page, and Pinterest’s Home Page. As a zillennial in my late twenties, I describe my social media habits as a mix of a millennial algorithm with Gen Z inclinations. My earliest experiences with seeking beauty inspiration are memories of CW-inspired Polyvore beauty "flat lays," blush-toned Tumblr aesthetics, and moments spent watching my older cousin update their MySpace profile pictures.

Now that I've embraced my unique position between two generations, I’m fully embracing this new identity and curating a list of beauty products for my current zillennial-coded wishlist that feel like neither Gen Z nor Millennial. Brands such as Refy, Eadem, Typology, and Dieux may be newer in comparison to established names like Guerlain and Chanel, but they occupy just as much space in my mind. Scroll further to discover which products are currently capturing my attention.

Eadem Le Chouchou Lip Softening Balm in Butter Mochi

This winter, I'm focusing on self-care by investing in small luxuries that can enhance everything from my favorite 'no makeup' looks to the glittery, celestial makeup look I’m planning for New Year's Eve. I'd be delighted to have any shade of Lip Softening Balm, but I have a preference for Butter Mochi for its glossy vinyl finish.

Mango People Hydrating Glossy Fruit Lip Stain in Jamun Jelly

As a beauty editor, I've been told numerous times that I have too many lip stains, but I always find space for at least one more—especially if it’s in a lovely neutral brown that complements my skin's undertones. I tried this hydrating lip stain a month ago and can't stop thinking about how soft my lips felt… it’s not tacky at all!

Emi Jay Aura Hair Mist + Body Mist in Toasted Sugar

I've previously expressed my affection for my favorite hair fragrances, but I must give more credit to the Emi Jay Aura Hair + Body Mist in Toasted Sugar. Designed for convenient fragrance and hydration, this mist combines delicious notes of spun sugar, sweet vanilla, and bergamot with shea butter, tonka bean, and a hint of musk. I’ve already finished one bottle and am planning to get a second.

Rhode Peptide Eye Prep Depuffing Eye Patches

I prefer eye patches that are cooling and brightening. Rhode's latest eye patches have dominated my FYP, and I’ve finally decided they need to be a part of my routine. The patches are infused with caffeine to reduce puffiness, peptides to diminish dark circles, and Sodium PC (an amino acid) for softer skin.

The Ordinary The Winter Skin Set

In recent years, I've become increasingly aware of how my skin reacts to colder temperatures. Without the right hydrating products, I started developing dry patches on my nose bridge and temples. This set from The Ordinary includes my go-to dry-weather products, like their Hyaluronic Acid 2% and Glycolipid Cream Cleanser.

Refy Mini Lip Gloss Trio Gift Set

If asked which ultra-glossy lip products I'd incorporate into my beauty routine without hesitation, I'd choose all of Refy's Lip Glosses. The Mini Lip Gloss Trio Gift Set features three of their most popular shades: Rosewood, Clear, and the limited-edition Topaz. Each gloss is enhanced with hyaluronic acid to attract and retain moisture, as well as jojoba seed oil for lightweight hydration.

Typology Tinted Lip Oil in Chestnut

I own a few shades of Typology's Tinted Lip Oil and can't stop wearing them alone for a just-bitten look and long-lasting moisture from jojoba oil, vitamin E, and squalane. Their newly released limited edition shade, Glazed Chestnut, is a classic nude enhanced with fine pearlescent pigments.

Salt & Stone Black Rose & Oud Body Wash

My fragrance collection is mostly oud at this point, and I don’t regret it. This scent is perfect for the cooler winter months, especially combined with floral notes. This body wash fuses the two fragrances with a blend of black rose, oud, and vetiver in a refreshing gel formula. The inclusion of niacinamide helps maintain a strong skin barrier while visibly improving skin texture.

      Chantecaille Radiance Gel Bronzer

Admittedly, I don’t typically reach for bronzer in my everyday makeup routine, but Chantecaille's Radiance Gel Bronzer might have
