The most notable alteration is in the sole, which is thicker than the original and equipped with a lug bottom for enhanced traction and stability on icy and rugged surfaces. The upper has also undergone a transformation, featuring a hairy suede mix along with protective synthetic material on the toe box and heel cap. The rope laces contribute to its durable, gorpcore aesthetic, while the leather stripes resonate with the brand’s heritage. Fashion influencer Hannah Krohne posted a video stating, "They created a winterized Samba, which is a blend between a sneaker and a dress shoe. Many of the color options for this Samba are leather, and the laces appear a bit more formal, so you could potentially wear it as a loafer alternative." Within hours, her video went viral, prompting TikTok users to express their enthusiasm with comments like, "These look better than Sambas. The soles of the Sambas never coordinate with the color options, and these look like they suit better," and "Wait…I need them. I'm kind of obsessed."
