As a Fashion Editor with a passion for eyewear, here are the styles I'm genuinely contemplating.
When I was in elementary school, I pretended to pass an eye exam because I desperately wanted glasses. Less than a week later, I confessed that I couldn’t see through the adorable Coach frames I’d chosen (which had little hearts on the sides), and we promptly returned them. Both of my parents have worn glasses for as long as I can remember, so I’m sure that played a role. Fast forward to today, and I still have a strong passion for eyewear. I've always been a fan of sunglasses and can't step outside without them. Whenever I leave them behind, I tend to say, "I wish I had my sunglasses." Recently, I've been wearing my sold-out bug-eye Chimi Giadas every day, along with the sportier Split. My dream pieces to add to my collection are from Celine, Chanel, Khaite x Oliver Peoples, and Prada.
For eyeglasses, I sometimes wear the now-popular black Baby frames from Bonnie Clyde that gained a lot of attention a few seasons ago. I've also been trying out The Meg from Jimmy Fairly. I recently visited Miu Miu's SoHo location in New York to try on their iconic oval eyeglasses that are beloved by fashion enthusiasts. More recently, during a trip to L.A., I checked out the Akila store in Silver Lake to see how Zoë Kravitz's preferred Alien frames suited me. Now, I really want a pair.
