"These wounds will heal later": NANSI & SIDOROV released a music video "Lilac" with veterans' memories for Victory Day

      On May 8, the premiere of a special project by NANSI & SIDOROV in collaboration with the VK Dobro project took place. For Victory Day, the artists released a music video for the poignant track "Lilac." The main roles are played by veterans and children of war, whose lives were tragically divided into "before" and "after."

      The music video intertwines two storylines, where on one side is an artistic image showing a girl and her mother, caught off guard by the onset of war. Their everyday life and hopes collapse in an instant. On the other side are candid monologues from those who experienced this horror as children. In the frame are real veterans of the Great Patriotic War and "children of war." Their stories, raw emotions, and invaluable memories will also be published in VK Clips to preserve the connection between generations.

      "In this song is all the pain of people who were deprived of the right to a peaceful spring. But lilac blooms against all odds. And that means there is always hope," the performers shared.

      "Lilac" is a bitter prayer for the wounds to heal. And at the same time, a harsh statement: they will not heal just like that. But as long as the candle burns and the lilac remembers – the city lives. The NANSI & SIDOROV project and VK Dobro is a musical monument to those who, at the cost of courage and bravery, gifted us a peaceful sky above our heads.
