Marc Jacobs Beauty has officially returned—I've tried every product, and here's what you need to know.
This summer has seen a wave of exciting comebacks, from Capri trousers and wedge sandals to Zara Larsson. Yet, nothing has thrilled me quite like the return of Marc Jacobs Beauty. Launched in 2013 and discontinued in 2021, the collection was known for its sleek packaging and effective formulas that beauty editors remember fondly. It had a stellar reputation as one of the top makeup brands around. Now, Marc Jacobs Beauty makes a comeback for 2026, and it’s turned out to be a maximalist’s delight, full of playful packaging, vibrant colors, and sensory excitement—I have never felt such joy over a makeup line before. "This isn’t merely a relaunch; it’s a newly developed beauty collection informed by our brand’s legacy," Marc Jacobs shares. "We aimed to provide a fresh outlook and, years post-pandemic, viewed it as a chance to innovate wholly."
With seven new products to explore, including bronzer, blush, and lipstick, it’s clear we have plenty of choices. "Beauty is an aspiration, not a necessity," Jacobs remarks. "It’s not something you need to present yourself to the world, but rather a way to express creativity and enjoy beauty." I thoroughly enjoyed testing the entire range, so continue reading for my complete review of Marc Jacobs Beauty products.
The Best Marc Jacobs Beauty Products, Tried & Tested
1. Legally Bronze Bronzer
Pros: Second-skin finish, adorable packaging
Cons: Might be too subtle for some (but it is buildable)
There's currently no foundation or concealer in the Marc Jacobs Beauty collection, so after applying my usual base, I began with the Legally Bronze Bronzer. I may have let out a high-pitched squeal upon opening it; it’s definitely one of the cutest bronzers I’ve seen. Yet, don’t let the charming packaging overshadow the hardworking formula. Designed for a second-skin finish, it’s one of the most natural bronzers I’ve tried, blending seamlessly and adding a sun-kissed warmth. This bronzer is off to a great start, earning high marks from me.
2. Joystick Blush Stick
Pros: Highly pigmented, creamy formula, various fun shades
Cons: Packaging can be a bit messy
I have strict criteria for blush sticks, and I’m pleased to report that the Joystick Blush Stick met my expectations impressively. With ten vivid shades available, they might seem intense, but you could easily apply a lighter layer for a casual look. I chose the shade Hot Flush, a lively pink that I’ll be reaching for all summer. The vibrant formula wowed me right away, and the creamy texture allowed me to apply it straight to my cheeks, blending it with my fingers seamlessly. Infused with hydrating ingredients, it also created a beautiful plumping effect. And I must say, the packaging is a total delight, just as the name implies.
3. Born Star Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow
Pros: Creamy, pigmented formula, fun packaging, mix of metallic and matte shades
Cons: You might want to use an eyeshadow primer to ensure longevity
The concept of a cream-to-powder eyeshadow intrigued me, and it proved to be just as great as anticipated. The velvety formula glides onto the lid, providing intense color payoff in one swipe. While there are numerous striking metallic shades, I chose the shade On Brand, a matte brown, for a daytime look. Since trying this buttery shadow, I’m finding it hard to use anything else. It’s incredibly easy to blend, stays put well (though I do use a primer underneath), and the star-shaped packaging makes for a fun alternative to my usual palette.
4. Drawn This Way Longwear Eyeliner
Pros: Various fun shades, creamy formula, pigmented, long-lasting
Cons: I found it somewhat challenging to achieve a sharp wing
To be honest, I typically prefer liquid eyeliner over pencil, but this creamy, pigmented formula has changed my mind. There are plenty of fun color options—from shimmery hot pink to cobalt blue—but I opted for a deep brown that matched my eyeshadow. Upon application, I was surprised by how buttery it was, gliding effortlessly along the lash line, and the pigmentation allowed me to complete my eyeliner in one stroke. I usually expect creamy formulas to fade throughout the day, but this waterproof, sweat-resistant eyeliner proved to be long-lasting. Plus, it's suitable for sensitive eyes—Marc has truly considered every detail.
5. Flashes Panoramic Volume Mascara
Pros: Available in black, blue, and brown, buildable volume, smudge-proof finish
Cons: I’d love to see a waterproof version in the future
Getting mascara right can be tricky, but this is an excellent all-around option for
