      In the urban district of Dubna, Moscow region, the final stage of the film festival "Movement Vertically" took place, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Russian director, actor, artist, politician, and public figure Stanislav Govorukhin.

      Traditionally, the festival program was opened by a photo exhibition dedicated to the life and work of the master. The solemn opening took place in one of the oldest cultural institutions in the city of Dubna — the MBU Palace of Culture "October," which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. This institution was gifted the photo exhibition for further display in the urban district. At the opening of the photo exhibition, Mikhail Bogomolov, head of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs of the Dubna administration, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech.

      The festival program continued with the traditional screening of the film "The End of a Beautiful Era," which was warmly received by the audience.

      The youth of the Dubna district participated with great interest in a master class on the topic "What is ARTMASTERS." Participation in the open championship of creative competencies provides children and teenagers with great opportunities to realize their ideas, acquire skills to formulate goals, tasks, and work in a team. The master class was led by Ekaterina Levchenko, producer of special projects at ARTMASTERS, who explained how to get recommendations from experienced mentors, participate in competitive programs, and possibly shoot their first film. The meeting showcased the winning films of the ARTMASTERS creative competitions: "Young," directed by L. Gardash, "Swallow," directed by M. Korablev, "The Tale of the Fish. Not Golden. Told by Grandfather Gordey to his grandson before bedtime on Wednesday," directed by A. Kuzovkov. Traditionally, the kids discussed the films presented in the program and gave their ratings. More than 130 people participated in the master class.

      At the comprehensive youth center "Initiative," a gathering place for lovers of creative meetings, concerts, discussions, and lectures for young actors and participants of creative associations, actor of theater and cinema Leonid Semenov conducted a master class on the topic "Acting Skills: Attention, Memory, Action, Imagination, Improvisation." The theatrical exercises and the depiction of "living pictures" created a wonderful cheerful atmosphere and sparked great interest among the participants.

      On the same day, during a working meeting with the Deputy Head of the urban district, Denis Karyukhin, the president of the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs, Tatiana Shumova, donated volumes of books from the Memory of the Russian Archive to the city's libraries.

      In the evening, the auditorium of the youth center "Initiative" warmly opened its doors to the audience for the musical-poetic performance "The Vertical Continues," created based on the life and work of S.S. Govorukhin. The performance featured actors from theater and cinema: Yu. Mezhevich, D. Marinchova, A. Trachevsky. The director and screenwriter was L. Semenov. Tatiana Shumova, president of the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

      The film festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Administration of the urban district of Dubna, Moscow region. The event organizers included: LLC "KinoFocus," the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs, the "Vertical" Film Studio, and the "Mosfilm" Film Concern.

      The film festival "Movement Vertically," dedicated to the memory of the outstanding director and public figure Stanislav Govorukhin, has been held in Russian regions since 2023. The three-year experience of conducting the film festival in the republics of Khakassia, Mari El, and the Tula, Moscow, Pskov, and Kaliningrad regions has shown significant public interest and a high level of demand.

      Over these years, more than 70 educational events and over 200 film screenings have taken place, attended by more than 30,000 viewers.

      In 2026, the film festival became part of the main plan of events of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the master's birth and is being implemented in accordance with the decree of the President of Russia V.V. Putin No. 65 "On the Celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Birth of S.S. Govorukhin."

      In March of this year, the festival was successfully held in the Stavropol Territory, gathering more than 3,000 participants, and in April, more than 2,800 guests attended the film festival events in the city of Cherepovets, Vologda region. In May, more than 1,500 people attended the film festival in the cities of Obninsk and Tarusa. More than 655 people participated in the film festival events in the urban district of Dubna.
