I love summer, but the current extreme heat is prompting me and other summer enthusiasts to start considering the upcoming cooler months. Is it really inappropriate to think about fall in July? Shailene Woodley doesn’t believe so. Recently, she was spotted in Paris wearing pants in a color trend that’s more aligned with fall than summer. The color wasn’t the typical burgundy or black; it was khaki. Specifically, British khaki.
For those who might not be aware, British khaki is a richer, earthier tone than the usual tan khaki. Although this color originated in the 19th century, it has made its way into modern fashion, serving as a stylish and unexpected pant color for the fall season. Woodley’s outfit is an excellent example of how to incorporate it into a casual look. She paired her British khaki pants with a boxy black T-shirt and loafers, finishing her ensemble with an L.A. Dodgers baseball cap and an oversized black bag. The pants help to break up the darker colors in her outfit. This shade is both striking and sophisticated, perfectly suited for fall.
