However, the main reasons I rave about Toteme to anyone who will listen are that their pieces are timeless enough to wear forever yet never dull, luxurious without being exorbitantly priced, and refined yet practical. Toteme uniquely embodies accessible elegance in today’s market. So, when I was tasked with visiting the London store to try on their new spring collection and report back with the best pieces, I couldn’t have been more excited.

      As a discerning editor with costly tastes (but a constrained budget as a new mother), I consider myself quite difficult to impress nowadays. As Who What Wear's Senior Shopping Editor, I spend my time finding the best buys for you, yet I often find myself overwhelmed with choices when it comes to my own shopping. When I do decide to invest in pieces, I want them to have longevity in quality and style, but they also need to possess a certain *je ne sais quoi* to enliven my basic outfit of jeans and a t-shirt. Naturally, I lean towards outerwear and accessories for added personality, as well as elevated staples like shirts and denim to enhance my essentials. I constantly seek interesting materials that can add real depth to a simple outfit: think soft suedes and flowing silks.

      Saying that Toteme's spring collection met my criteria perfectly is an understatement. I completely fell for the practical yet sophisticated country jacket, which I've noticed many chic influencers sporting. It captures this trending style while remaining minimalist and classic enough to wear every spring. I'm still dreaming of the buttery suede shirts that made my H&M t-shirt and jeans look incredibly upscale, and I may or may not have left with a pair of the brand's renowned twisted seam jeans.

      **Country Jacket + Raw Denim Twisted Seam Jeans**

      **My Review:** I had heard amazing feedback from my fellow shopping editor, Florrie, after she tried this jacket on, and it did not let me down. I loved its silhouette—the back pleats give it a lovely swing shape, particularly when worn over simple slim trousers or jeans, and the wide cuffs on the sleeves add to its design appeal. These features, paired with the beautiful minimalist pocket design, set it apart from other similar barn jackets on the market. The organic cotton fabric is water-repellent for unexpected showers, yet it is lightweight enough to be worn into summer (especially in good old Blighty). The dark brown corduroy collar is a delightful touch. I will mention that the fit is quite oversized, so even though I typically wear an 8-10, I chose a size 32, equivalent to a UK 6, and it fit perfectly on my petite frame (5'2").

      I’ll discuss Toteme’s twisted seam jeans in more detail later, but I was genuinely impressed with their fit and shape. While the stiffer raw denim style may not scream spring, I have been searching for the ideal darker, smarter jeans for ages, and I ended up buying this exact pair. They looked chic even with just a simple white tank top, making them suitable for summer and autumn/winter wear. Here I'm wearing a size 27 with a 30-inch inseam and a mid-heel boot for reference.
