One of my favorite pastimes is shopping with my mother. I have vivid childhood memories of us exploring the racks at our local mall, and we still enjoy this together today, now including texting and DMing each other the items we like. In this edition of Retail Therapy, I’m showcasing 10 items (along with styling suggestions) I recently shared with my mom that she found most appealing, ranging from stylish linen separates to designer accessories. Plus, with Mother's Day approaching (don’t forget!), you could use this shopping guide to find something special for an important woman in your life. Keep reading for more.
Adidas Sneakers
Like everyone else, my mom and I are also drawn to Adidas sneakers. The SL 72 has emerged as my mom's favorite, thanks to its retro silhouette and fun colors, including this trendy pale-yellow pair. Yes, I assured her that these sneakers would give her a fashionable look.

New Gwen Slip Skirt
I’ve been discussing slip skirts a lot lately—they're a spring essential that embraces the romantic trend. J.Crew always offers great options, including this stunning knee-length version. The sheer lining at the hem adds a modern twist that makes this skirt unique. It comes in various colors, but I suggested the pink to my mom.

The highly sought-after $25 H&M linen-blend pants are back! This style sold out last year, and my mom is thrilled she can order them now for this season. Many of my co-editors have these pants and rave about their comfort and chic silhouette. Their versatility is impressive too. As I told my mom, they can be dressed up with a button-down shirt and flats or worn with a swimsuit on vacation.

It's officially the season for jelly shoes. I repeat: It's the season for jelly shoes. I previously praised the Vince mules in my last newsletter (also shown above), and my mom promptly bought them. I also showed her these Chloé sandals that are a hit with the fashion crowd, and she loved them. She appreciated the lower heel and ankle strap for added comfort. Additionally, they come in beautiful blue and pink shades.

Chanel Ring
This ring is a dream come true. It is indeed an investment but a design that can be worn daily. Everything in Chanel's Coco Crush line is stunning, and this ring is no exception, featuring the signature quilted motif. As I informed my mom, it can stand alone but would also look lovely stacked with other special rings.
