WWW Beauty Editors Recently Uncovered Each Other’s “Twin Flame” Fragrances—Here’s What Transpired
Being an editor is the ideal career for beauty lovers who enjoy being active, practicing smart shopping techniques, and keeping up with new product launches, all while filtering through countless mediocre products to find the best ones. This role requires a discerning eye for aesthetics, an understanding of specific formulations, and a passionate journalistic spirit to convey everything we know about a product through a narrative that simplifies the learning process before making a purchase. While the Who What Wear Beauty Editors excel at pinpointing the top beauty treasures for our audience, we also consider what works for each other. With the time spent together (or, for some, in shared Slack channels) discussing everything from our favorite volume-enhancing dry shampoos to foolproof highlighters, we've come to understand each other's diverse personalities and tastes quite well. So, when the whole team reunited for the first time in two years to celebrate this year's Who What Wear Beauty Awards in June, we naturally engaged in conversations about fragrances. I took the opportunity to conduct an experiment, asking my fellow editors to choose a twin flame scent for each team member to discover what makes a fragrance ideal for someone. I anticipated seeing widely varying selections based on personal insights about each other, but it turned out quite differently. Below are the 24 scents that represent members of our beauty team, ranging from a fresh, nostalgic fragrance by Henry Rose to an academically inspired scent by Byredo.

Father Figure Eau de Parfum
**Scent Type**: warm woods
**Notes**: waterlily, fig, cassis buds, orris root, iris flower, jasmine dew, skin musks, Madagascar vanilla, patchouli leaf, sandalwood
"Perhaps it's unfair since I know Erin adores this perfume, but it truly reflects her personality. It possesses a serene, zen-like quality, thanks to notes of fig, jasmine dew, and cassis, while also being comforting and grounded due to warm vanilla and creamy sandalwood. It's a fragrance for someone with quiet confidence, an inviting presence, and who maintains a cool composure even amidst hectic schedules and deadlines." — Kaitlyn McLintock, Beauty Editor

Thé Vanille Eau de Parfum
**Scent Type**: warm gourmands
**Notes**: salt accord, cardamom, turmeric root, maté extract, narcissus flower absolute, magnolia flower, orris, vanilla
"Anyone who has seen a picture of Erin knows she embodies effortless glamour—but after chatting with her, you realize how sweet and welcoming she is. With this in mind, I liken her to this unique unisex vanilla scent I recently stumbled upon and surprisingly liked (I usually don't favor vanilla scents, but this one is delightful). It starts with a soft vanilla base but expands on the skin with notes of green tea and salt, making this fragrance wonderfully unisex and perfect for whenever you want to feel sophisticated yet approachable—much like our fearless leader, Erin." — Alyssa Brascia, Associate Beauty Editor

Rose Atlantic Eau de Parfum
**Scent Type**: warm floral
**Notes**: bergamot, petals, lemon oil, linden, rose accord, dune grass, muscone, salt water, white moss
"Erin has a warm and welcoming aura that puts anyone nearby at ease. Her laid-back charm, while effortlessly chic, serves as a source of inspiration. My choice for her fragrance is the D.S. & Durga Rose Atlantic Eau de Parfum, which embodies the same soft femininity as our beauty director with blooming petal and rose notes accompanied by sweet bergamot, rustling dune grass, and a hint of muscone and salt water. It's a cozy, warm floral that deserves a place in every well-rounded perfume collection, and it perfectly captures Erin Jahns' spirit."
*Chloé*
Atelier des Fleurs Cedrus Eau de Parfum
**Scent Type**: smoky woods
**Notes**: cardamom, bergamot, pink peppercorn, rose, vetiver, sandalwood, cedarwood
"Erin represents calmness. She always seems poised, organized, and effortlessly puts you at ease, even when she has a multitude of projects underway. A fragrance that encapsulates this chic, relaxed vibe makes me think of Chloé’s Atelier des Fleurs Cedrus Eau de Parfum. Much like our beauty director, it is elegant and polished yet familiar and comforting." — Jamie Schneider, Senior Beauty Editor
