      (Image credit: Louis Vuitton) Today, Louis Vuitton unveiled the first look at its debut makeup line, La Beauté Louis Vuitton. This marks the designer's initial venture into cosmetics, guided by the renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath, who was appointed as the brand's creative director for cosmetics earlier this year. At that time, McGrath informed Who What Wear to anticipate "exquisite" formulations "inspired by the essence of travel and creative excellence." This is a significant milestone in the 171-year history of the French fashion house, which has previously provided fine fragrances and custom vanity cases but has never delved into makeup (until now). The collection features 55 lipsticks, 10 lip balms, and eight eye shadow palettes presented in objets d'art or luxurious packaging intended for keeping and cherishing. La Beauté Louis Vuitton is set to officially launch in select Louis Vuitton stores and online on August 29. In the meantime, enjoy a sneak peek of some standout items and prepare your shopping list.

      LV Rouge (Image credit: Louis Vuitton) At the core of La Beauté Louis Vuitton lies LV Rouge, the brand's inaugural lipstick collection presented in elegant, refillable packaging. It will offer an impressive range of 55 shades in both satin and matte finishes, all adorned with the brand's iconic monogram imprinted on each bullet. The company highlights three notable shades:

      - 896 Monogram Rouge: A classic red lipstick paying homage to the brand's rich history, encased in the brand's classic brown monogram canvas.

      - 203 Rose Odyssée: This lipstick features a warm, earthy rose color inspired by the journeys of Louis Vuitton women.

      - 854 Rouge Louis: A rich scarlet red lipstick that embodies confidence and individuality.

      Expect deep color in both the creamy satin and velvety matte finishes, along with a skin-first formula including natural waxes from rose, jasmine, and mimosa flowers. With an 85% skincare base, the lipsticks also incorporate hyaluronic acid and shea butter for added comfort.

      Interestingly, the LV Rouge lipsticks feature a signature fragrance resulting from a collaboration between McGrath and Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. Sourced from the brand’s fragrance ateliers in Grasse, France, the lipsticks carry the notes of rose, jasmine, and mimosa flowers.

Also enriched with hyaluronic acid and shea butter, each lip balm offers up to 48 hours of hydration. The brand features three standout shades:

      - 051 Monogram Touch: A sheer interpretation of the aforementioned Monogram lipstick.

      - 030 Tender Bliss: A soft, sheer pink with a hint of sparkle.

      - 020 Rose Essentiel: A classic rosewood color that the brand considers a daily staple.

      Each LV Baume is infused with a subtle mint-raspberry scent.

Each of the eight palettes includes four eye shadows—three "wearable, everyday shades" plus "one standout hue." There will be six finishes, ranging from ultra-matte to glitter, aligning perfectly with McGrath’s signature style. Three "star compacts" have been highlighted:

      - Harmonie 896 Monogram Rouge: This palette echoes the lipstick of the same name, showcasing burnished red, deep brown, and caramel hues.

      - Harmonie 150 Beige Memento: Inspired by the unique wear and patina of Louis Vuitton's leather luggage, this palette features ivory and golden bronze shades.

      - Harmonie 250 Nude Mirage: Louis Vuitton’s solution for an everyday eye shadow palette with soft and sophisticated neutrals.
