Innovations are already in the park: "Island of Dreams" has introduced new services for the comfort of guests.

In anticipation of the launch of new themed zones outdoors on August 1, the amusement park "Island of Dreams" has updated its visiting rules and introduced new services that will make guests' leisure even more comfortable. The changes are aimed at effectively distributing visitor flows and reducing waiting times for popular attractions.

The first "Single Rider" system in Russia

One of the key innovations will be the first "Single Rider" system in Russia, which will appear at the extreme attractions in the outdoor part of the park. This is a separate queue for guests who are willing to take available seats on the attraction without riding together with their company.

"This queue is intended for those who want to ride as many attractions as possible in a short time. Often, there are empty seats in the cars, and in this case, operators invite visitors from this queue to take them. This is a global practice of the largest amusement parks, allowing for more efficient use of attraction capacity," says Mikhail Kondratiev, General Director of AO "REGIONS-Entertainment."

This service will be available on the attractions "Flame of Speed," "Joker," and "Legend of Peaks." Currently, installation work is underway.

      Automatic waiting time calculation

Another improvement is the automatic waiting time calculation system for attractions using computer vision technologies. "Island of Dreams" became the first amusement park in Russia to implement such a solution.

In real-time, the system analyzes the number of guests in standard and express queues, their movement speed, and the attraction's throughput, after which it calculates the estimated waiting time.

The project was put into operation in March 2026. In May, the system was connected to the 12 most popular attractions in the indoor part of the amusement park, and in the future, the technology will be gradually implemented at other park facilities.

Information about waiting times is already available at the attractions "Hotel Transylvania," "Hammer of Fate," and "Flight in the Tunnel." Data is displayed on screens before entering the attraction, and in the future, it will also appear in the park's mobile application. This will allow guests to plan their routes more conveniently and choose attractions with the least load.

"For the amusement park, the waiting time calculation system is not only a convenient service for guests but also an important analytical tool that helps effectively manage visitor flows, optimize the work of attraction operators, and daily improve service quality. The solution fully complies with industry safety standards and data processing requirements," notes Vladimir Tsypin, Deputy Head of the Attraction Operations Department.

      New queue behavior rules

"Island of Dreams" has also updated its queue behavior rules. Now, specific norms are established that prohibit violating the established order, reserving places for other guests, and climbing over barriers.

In case of such violations, the park administration has the right to remove the visitor from the park without refunding the ticket price.

Changes in the use of "Express Entry"

As of July 6, 2026, changes to the rules for using the "Express Entry" service have come into effect.

After visiting the attractions "Flight in the Tunnel," "Hammer of Fate," and "Cobra," reusing the "Express Entry" for the same attraction will be available after 20 minutes. Guests will still be able to use the standard queue without restrictions. The expedited entry to the attraction can only be used with their own ticket.

"Such rules have long been applied in leading amusement parks around the world. They allow for a more even distribution of visitor flows and reduce waiting times in both express and standard queues, making the park visit more comfortable for all guests," adds Vladimir Tsypin.

The opening of new themed zones is scheduled for August 1, with a festive event on the Day of the City of Moscow. After the launch, the "Island of Dreams" will enter the top 5 amusement parks in the world by the number of mechanical attractions — there will be more than 60 in total, and the total number of themed universes will grow to 15. A single ticket will cover both the indoor and outdoor parts.
